Common questions
Can you do this remotely?
Yes — for most virus and malware infections, remote removal works well. We'll let you know if it requires an in-person visit.
Will my files be safe?
Yes. We remove the threats without touching your personal files. If anything is at risk, we'll tell you before we proceed.
What if it comes back?
If the same infection returns within 30 days of service, we'll remove it again at no charge.
Do I need antivirus software after?
We'll configure Windows Defender properly — for most users, that's enough. We'll advise based on your situation.
How long does it take?
Most removals are done the same day. Severe infections may take longer — we'll give you a realistic estimate upfront.
Free advice — try this first
Before you book, try this
Some infections are stubborn enough to need professional removal. Many aren't — and these steps catch about half the cases we'd otherwise see.
- Run a Windows Defender Offline scan — Settings → Privacy & security → Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Scan options → Microsoft Defender Antivirus (offline scan). This boots into a clean environment and removes malware that's actively hiding from Windows.
- Check Installed Apps for anything unfamiliar — Settings → Apps → Installed apps. Sort by install date. Anything you don't recognize installed in the last few weeks is suspicious — uninstall it.
- Reset your browser settings — Chrome → Settings → Reset settings. This clears hijacked search engines, malicious extensions, and persistent redirect adware. Your bookmarks and passwords are kept.
If that doesn't fix it, that's what we're here for. The $24.99 diagnostic still applies — no fix, no charge.
