Will I lose my files?

Will my apps be reinstalled?

How long does it take?
Most reinstalls are completed the same day. Complex setups with lots of apps may take a bit longer — we'll give you an estimate upfront.
Is this different from a factory reset?
Yes. A factory reset often leaves OEM bloatware. We do a clean install from scratch, which is faster and cleaner.

Before you book, try this
A clean OS reinstall is the nuclear option — it works, but it wipes everything. Try the gentler options first.
- Try "Reset this PC" with files kept — Settings → System → Recovery → Reset this PC → Keep my files. This reinstalls Windows but preserves your documents and photos. Fixes most software corruption without losing your data.
- Run System File Checker first — Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run:
sfc /scannow. This repairs corrupted Windows system files in place. Takes 10-20 minutes. Sometimes it's all you needed. - Back up everything if you do go full reinstall — A clean install wipes the drive. Copy Documents, Pictures, Downloads, Desktop, and your browser bookmarks before you start. Export saved passwords from your browser too — they don't move automatically.
