Who we are

Howard Resource is a local technology services company based in Dawsonville, Georgia. We offer PC repair, custom computer builds, and remote tech support. By using our website or requesting our services, you agree to these terms.

Services

We provide PC repair, hardware upgrades, virus removal, data recovery, OS reinstalls, custom PC builds, and remote support. Prices listed on the site are estimates; final pricing is confirmed before any work begins. We will never charge you for work you didn't authorize.

For custom builds, a deposit may be required before parts are ordered. The deposit amount will be communicated clearly upfront and applied toward the final total.

Estimates and quotes

Diagnostic fees ($50) are credited toward any repair you proceed with. If you choose not to proceed after a diagnostic, the diagnostic fee is non-refundable — it covers our time and labor to assess your device.

For data recovery, if we cannot recover your data, you owe nothing. We will always tell you honestly what we can and cannot recover before you commit.

Your device and data

You are responsible for backing up your data before bringing a device in for service. While we take care to protect your data and include a backup step for OS reinstalls, we are not liable for data loss that occurs during repair or recovery work on a device with a pre-existing hardware or software failure.

We will not access, copy, share, or retain any of your personal files beyond what is necessary to perform the requested service.

Remote support sessions

Remote sessions are conducted via screen-sharing software with your full knowledge and consent. You may end the session at any time. We only access what is necessary to resolve your issue and do not retain remote access credentials after the session ends.

Warranty

We stand behind our work. If an issue we repaired returns within 30 days due to the same root cause, we will re-examine it at no charge. This does not cover new issues, physical damage after service, or problems caused by third-party software or user error.

Custom builds include a 90-day labor warranty. Component warranties are provided by their respective manufacturers and vary by part.

Limitation of liability

Howard Resource is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.

We may update these terms occasionally. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
