Who we are
Howard Resource Group is a limited liability company based in Dawsonville, Georgia. We offer PC repair, custom computer builds, and remote tech support. By using our website or requesting our services, you agree to these terms.
Services
We provide PC repair, hardware upgrades, virus removal, data recovery, OS reinstalls, custom PC builds, and remote support. Prices listed on the site are estimates; final pricing is confirmed before any work begins. We will never charge you for work you didn't authorize.
For custom builds, a deposit may be required before parts are ordered. The deposit amount will be communicated clearly upfront and applied toward the final total.
Estimates and quotes
The $24.99 diagnostic fee is charged upfront when you book a repair. If we find the fix and you approve it, the $24.99 is credited toward your repair bill — you pay only the difference. If we cannot diagnose or fix the issue, the diagnostic fee is waived entirely. If we provide a repair quote and you choose not to proceed, the $24.99 stands — it covers the diagnostic time.
For data recovery, if we cannot recover your data, you owe nothing. We will always tell you honestly what we can and cannot recover before you commit.
Your device and data
You are responsible for backing up your data before bringing a device in for service. While we take care to protect your data and include a backup step for OS reinstalls, we are not liable for data loss that occurs during repair or recovery work on a device with a pre-existing hardware or software failure.
We will not access, copy, share, or retain any of your personal files beyond what is necessary to perform the requested service.
Remote support sessions
Remote sessions are conducted via screen-sharing software with your full knowledge and consent. You may end the session at any time. We only access what is necessary to resolve your issue and do not retain remote access credentials after the session ends.
Warranty
Repairs
If an issue we repaired returns within 30 days due to the same root cause, we will re-examine and resolve it at no additional charge. This warranty does not cover new issues, physical damage that occurs after service, or problems caused by third-party software, user error, or power events (surges, outages).
Custom Builds
Every custom PC build from Howard Resource Group includes a 1-year labor warranty covering defects in assembly, cable management, and configuration. If a component fails within 1 year, we will facilitate the manufacturer warranty claim and reinstall the replacement part at no labor charge.
Component warranties vary by manufacturer — most CPUs, GPUs, and motherboards carry a 2–3 year manufacturer warranty. We document every part used in your build and can provide this information upon request.
What the warranty does not cover
- Physical damage after delivery (drops, spills, mishandling)
- Damage from power surges, overclocking, or unauthorized modifications
- Normal wear and fan degradation over time
- Software issues, Windows corruption, or virus infection after delivery
- Components purchased and supplied by the client
PC Marketplace listings
Howard Resource Group acts as a facilitator between seller and buyer. Used PCs sold through our marketplace carry no implied warranty from Howard Resource. Sellers are responsible for accurate disclosure of condition. The $19.99 listing fee is non-refundable but is credited back if the system does not sell within 60 days.

By opting into SMS from a web form or other medium, you are agreeing to receive SMS messages from Howard Resource Group. This includes SMS messages for conversations (external). Limitation of liability
Howard Resource is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.

We may update these terms occasionally. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
