Common questions
Will this actually make a difference?
For most machines with startup bloat and outdated drivers, yes — significantly. We show you before and after numbers so you're not just taking our word for it.
My PC is old — is a tune-up worth it?
It depends on the machine. If the hardware is fundamentally underpowered, we'll be honest about that and recommend a hardware upgrade or replacement instead.
How long does it take?
Usually same day — most tune-ups are completed within a few hours.
Can this be done remotely?
Yes — software-side tune-ups can be done remotely. Hardware checks and thermal paste review require the machine in person.
What if I need a hardware upgrade too?
If we find that a hardware upgrade would make a meaningful difference, we'll let you know with a quote — no pressure.
Free advice — try this first
Before you book, try this
Most slowdowns are software clutter, not hardware aging. These three steps fix the majority of "my PC feels slow" cases for free.
- Disable startup programs you don't need — Open Task Manager → Startup apps tab. Disable anything you don't need running the moment Windows boots — Spotify, Discord, your printer's helper utility, GPU overlays. This alone can cut boot time in half.
- Clean up disk space — Settings → System → Storage. Delete old Downloads, clear the Recycle Bin, uninstall apps you no longer use. Aim to keep at least 20% free space on your boot drive — Windows needs room to breathe.
- Check for malware — Windows Defender → Virus & threat protection → Full scan. Hidden malware is one of the most common causes of "my computer is slow" — it runs quietly in the background eating CPU and RAM.
If that doesn't fix it, that's what we're here for. The $24.99 diagnostic still applies — no fix, no charge.
